I recognize the default branch for the git repo was not properly set. But 1.14.25 is already in Factory since a while.

What would be nice though (and which was also part of this pull request) is to switch to cmake for the build. Besides pkgconfig, this will also provide .cmake files in the development package. Some projects don't support pkgconfig and there it helps a lot if we also have .cmake files besides the existing .pc file.
