62dca6c1cf meson, ci: Support tests that can fail under certain conditions
We have tests that are failing in some environments, but it's
difficult to handle them because:
 - for some environments we just allow all the tests to fail: DANGEROUS
 - when we don't allow failures we have flacky tests: A CI pain

So, to avoid this and ensure that:
 - New failing tests are tracked in all platforms
 - gitlab integration on tests reports is working
 - coverage is reported also for failing tests

Add support for `can_fail` keyword on tests that would mark the test as
part of the `failing` test suite.
Not adding the suite directly when defining the tests as this is
definitely simpler and allows to define conditions more clearly (see next
commits).

Now, add a default test setup that does not run the failing and flaky tests
by default (not to bother distributors with testing well-known issues) and
eventually run all the tests in CI:
 - Non-flaky tests cannot fail in all platforms
 - Failing and Flaky tests can fail

In both cases we save the test reports so that gitlab integration is
preserved.

d941558ee9 Improve g_module_open(), deprecate G_MODULE_SUFFIX
G_MODULE_SUFFIX is deprecated now because you will get the wrong
results using it most of the time:

1. The suffix on macOS is usually 'dylib', but it's 'so' when using
Autotools, so there's no way to get the suffix correct using
   a pre-processor macro.
2. Prefixes also vary in a platform-specific way. You may or may not have
a 'lib' prefix for the name on Windows and on Cygwin the prefix is
   'cyg'.
3. The library name itself can vary per platform. For instance, you may
want to load foo-1.dll on Windows and libfoo.1.dylib on macOS. This
is for libraries, not modules, but that is still a use-case that
people use the GModule API for.

g_module_build_path() does take care of (2) on Cygwin, but it
fundamentally cannot handle the possibility of multiple options for
the module name, since it does not do any I/O. Hence, it is also
deprecated.

Instead, g_module_open() has been improved so that it takes care of
all this by searching the filesystem for combinations of possible
suffixes and prefixes on each platform. Along the way, the
documentation for it was also improved to make it clearer what it
does.

a62dd272d8 tests: Test that we can include all headers with an old MAX_VERSION
In principle we could script this so that each max-version.c is compiled
26 times, once per possible MAX_VERSION, but I haven't implemented
that here: just pinning to the oldest possible version is sufficient to
reproduce #2796.

These aren't included in the installed-tests, since they don't really
do anything at runtime (the important thing is that they compile
without warnings).

d0967c1d4a Revert "gdesktopappinfo: Use sh rather than gio-launch-desktop"
A shell one-liner was enough to set GIO_LAUNCHED_DESKTOP_FILE_PID,
but ideally we also want to do the equivalent of sd_journal_stream_fd()
to set up its standard output and standard error streams.

Ideally we would call sd_journal_stream_fd() in a process that will
exec the real program, otherwise it will report the wrong process ID
in the Journal, but we can't easily do that in a forked child when
using posix_spawn() for subprocesses.

This reverts commit 2b533ca99a.

087272777b tests: Fix incorrect basename comparison in gsubprocess test
This was causing intermittent failures on macOS, depending on whether
the tmpdir ended with a `/` or `/some-dir`. `g_strrstr()` is not the
right function to use to extract a basename from a path, for this
reason.

When it failed, the macOS test was failing with:
```
ok 16 /gsubprocess/env
Bail out! GLib-GIO:ERROR:../gio/tests/gsubprocess.c:1507:test_cwd: assertion failed (basename == tmp_lineend_basename): ("/T\n" == "/\n")
```

The test now passes reliably, which means that it can be removed from
the list of expected failures on macOS.

Split out from https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/glib/-/merge_requests/2134

Reworked to no longer use test fixtures, as it’s simple enough to build

The tests are built on Unix only, as they test the parsing code in
`g_resolver_records_from_res_query()`, which is Unix-specific. The
Windows DNS APIs provide much more structured results which don’t need

1726e150f4 tests: Call openpty (if available) without using dlsym
The SONAME of libutil varies between architectures, so the logic to find
the SONAME of libutil was only correct for native builds (Linux on
Linux), not for cross-builds. The regular expression was also not
sufficiently broad to match the SONAME used on the alpha architecture,
which is apparently libutil.so.1.1.

Instead of screen-scraping the output of ldconfig and using that to
dlopen the library that contains openpty, it seems more reliable to
emit a link-time reference to openpty and let the linker do its job.
It's also less code.

36112f9b83 tests: Stop ignoring test failures on macOS
Test failures were previously ignored on macOS because there are 12
tests which consistently fail (and have not yet been fixed, because
there are no regularly active macOS maintainers for GLib; you could help
here!).

However, this means that new test failures can’t be spotted.

So, explicitly mark those 12 tests as `should_fail` on macOS, and then
make other test failures cause failure of the CI run.

We can track the process of fixing those 12 tests on #1392 and #1251.

5180c7de1e tests: Make debugcontroller and defaultvalue depend on dbus-daemon
As they use `g_test_dbus_*()`, they depend on dbus-daemon, so move them
to the part of the Meson file which lists those tests.

This disables them running on platforms which don’t have `dbus-daemon`
available. Arguably, this should be done by returning an error from
`g_test_dbus_up()` and then calling `g_test_skip()`, so the test is
correctly recorded as having been skipped. But that’s a fix for another
time.

2b533ca99a gdesktopappinfo: Use sh rather than gio-launch-desktop
There were some problems about where to install `gio-launch-desktop` to
support multiarch systems without circular dependencies. Simon McVittie
suggested that, actually, given the current set of platforms supported
by `GDesktopAppInfo` (they’re all POSIX), we could just use `sh`.

That simplifies things nicely. `gio-launch-desktop` can always be
resurrected (and the multiarch debate continued and resolved) if needed
in future.

9f070db4c5 GWin32AppInfo: Support rundll32-using applications
1) When parsing the executable name out of the command line,
see if the executable is rundll32.exe. If that is the case,
use the DLL name from its first argument as the "executable"
(this is used only for matching, and Windows Registry matches
these programs by their DLLs, so this is correct; for running
the application GLib would still use the command line, with
rundll32).

2) If an app runs with rundll32, ensure that rundll32 arguments
can be safely quoted. Otherwise GLib will break them with its
protective quotation.

2a605f6e15 gdbus-codegen: Add call_flags and timeout_msec args
Currently the code generated by gdbus-codegen uses
G_DBUS_CALL_FLAGS_NONE in its D-Bus calls, which occur for each method
defined by the input XML, and for proxy_set_property functions. This
means that if the daemon which implements the methods checks for
G_DBUS_FLAGS_ALLOW_INTERACTIVE_AUTHORIZATION and only does interactive
authorization if that flag is present, users of the generated code have
no way to cause the daemon to use interactive authorization (e.g. polkit
dialogs).

If we simply changed the generated code to always use
G_DBUS_FLAGS_ALLOW_INTERACTIVE_AUTHORIZATION, its users would have no
way to disallow interactive authorization (except for manually calling
the D-Bus method themselves).

So instead, this commit adds a GDBusCallFlags argument to method call
functions. Since this is an API break which will require changes in
projects using gdbus-codegen code, the change is conditional on the
command line argument --glib-min-version having the value 2.64 or
higher.

The impetus for this change is that I'm changing accountsservice to
properly respect G_DBUS_FLAGS_ALLOW_INTERACTIVE_AUTHORIZATION, and
libaccountsservice uses generated code for D-Bus method calls. So
these changes will allow libaccountsservice to continue allowing
interactive authorization, and avoid breaking any users of it which
expect that. See
https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/accountsservice/accountsservice/merge_requests/46

It might make sense to also let GDBusCallFlags be specified for property
set operations, but that is not needed in the case of accountsservice,
and would require significant work and breaking API in multiple places.

Similarly, the generated code currently hard codes -1 as the timeout
value when calling g_dbus_proxy_call*(). Add a timeout_msec argument so
the user of the generated code can specify the timeout as well.

Also, test this new API. In gio/tests/codegen.py we test that the new
arguments are generated if and only of --glib-min-version is used with a
value greater than or equal to 2.64, and in gio/tests/meson.build we
test that the generated code with the new API can be linked against.

The test_unix_fd_list() test also needed modification to continue
working now that we're using gdbus-test-codegen.c with code generated
with --glib-min-version=2.64 in one test.

Finally, update the docs for gdbus-codegen to explain the effect of
using --glib-min-version 2.64, both from this commit and from
"gdbus-codegen: Emit GUnixFDLists if an arg has type `h` w/
min-version".

00d7568e4f build: Remove unsupported install directives
We're using the `install` argument for configure_file() all over the
place.

The support for an `install` argument for configure_file() was added in
Meson 0.50, but we haven't bumped the minimum version of Meson we
require, yet; which means we're getting compatibility warnings when
using recent versions of Meson, and undefined behaviour when using older
versions.

The configure_file() object defaults to `install: false`, unless an
install directory is used. This means that all instances of an `install`
argument with an explicit `true` or `false` value can be removed,
whereas all instances of `install` with a value determined from a
configuration option must be turned into an explicit conditional.

We need to enable building the dirent and gnulib sources for clang-cl,

We need to also do this for the following, for similar reasoning:

-Symbol export (via __declspec(dllexport))
-Dependency discovery without pkg-config files
-long long and ssize_t detection

We do, however, enable the autoptr tests for clang-cl builds. Note that
at this point real MSVC builds are still better supported than clang-cl
builds, and it will likely remain so for at least the near future,
alhtough real MSVC builds of the GTK stack are consumable and are usable
by clang-cl.

b245344cec gdbus, tests, win32: test session dbus autolaunch
The test performs implicit autolaunching of a bus
and checks if it is connectible.

In build the test is moved from "only non-windows with have_dbus_daemon"
to "anywhere".

This is intentional: actually it doesn't execute any external
binaries on unix (so doesn't require dbus_daemon)
and now has win32 implementation.

The test has some problems that are not problems of test itself,
but are reasoned by current win32 implementation:

 - since the implementation uses global win32 kernel objects
with fixed names not depending on g_get_user_runtime_dir or other context
if preexisting bus running by some other libgio-using application
the test would silently pass.

 - since the implementation uses problematic time-based synchronization,
that has a race condition between opening and reading mmaped address,
the test may randomly fail (I'd not seen this in practice).

 - since the implementation autolaunched process works for 3 seconds
after last client disconnects, the executed subprocess runs for 3 seconds
after test exit, maybe locking the libgio-2.0-0.dll file for that time.
