Nicks and blurbs don't have any practical use for gio/gobject libraries.
Leaving tests untouched since this features is still used by other libraries.

This `GDBusMethodInvocation` may be shared across threads, with no
guarantee on the strong ref in one thread outlasting any refs in other
threads — so it needs a ref in this helper struct.
This should fix a use-after-free where the `GDBusMethodInvocation` is
freed from `g_value_unset()` after `g_signal_emit()` returns in
`dispatch_in_thread_func()` in one thread; but then dereferenced again
in `g_source_destroy_internal()` from another thread.

The `GDBusInterfaceSkeleton` is already stored as the source object of
the `GTask` here, with a strong reference.
Storing it again in the task’s data struct is redundant, and makes it
look like the `GDBusInterfaceSkeleton` is being used without holding a
strong reference. (There’s not actually a bug there though: the strong
reference from the `GTask` outlives the data struct, so is sufficient.)
Remove the unnecessary helper struct member to clarify the code a bit.

Convert all the call sites which use `g_memdup()`’s length argument
trivially (for example, by passing a `sizeof()`), so that they use
`g_memdup2()` instead.
In almost all of these cases the use of `g_memdup()` would not have
caused problems, but it will soon be deprecated, so best port away from
it.

And improve them externally, where not otherwise set, by setting them
from the function name passed to `g_task_set_source_tag()`, if called by
third party code.
This should make profiling and debug output from GLib more useful.

Using the generic marshaller has drawbacks beyond performance. One such
drawback is that it breaks the stack unwinding from the Linux kernel due
to having unsufficient data to walk past ffi_call_unixt64. That means that
performance profiling by application developers looks grouped among
seemingly unrelated code paths.
While we can't fix the kernel unwinding here, we can provide proper
c_marshallers and va_marshallers for objects within Gio so that
performance profiling of applications is more reliable.

gtk-doc was mis-parsing the combination of ` and :: and truncating some
of the documentation. Avoid that by using the D-Bus style of separating
interface and signal names using a dot.

As it turns out, we have examples of internal functions called
type_name_get_private() in the wild (especially among older libraries),
so we need to use a name for the per-instance private data getter
function that hopefully won't conflict with anything.
Reimplement gioscheduler in terms of GTask, and deprecate the original
gioscheduler methods. Update docs to point people to GTask rather than
gioscheduler and GSimpleAsyncResult, but don't actually formally
deprecate GSimpleAsyncResult yet.

This is needed for thread-safety ... yes, it would have been better to
make get_object() return a full reference and have something like a
peek_object() method return a borrowed reference for C convenience
(only a single vfunc would have been needed). But such an ABI break is
too late now...

Add g_main_context_ref_thread_default(), which always returns a
reffed GMainContext, rather than sometimes returning a (non-reffed)
GMainContext, and sometimes returning NULL. This simplifies the
bookkeeping in any code that needs to keep a reference to the
thread-default context for a while.

To help cross compilation, don't use glib-genmarshal in our
build. This is easy now that we have g_cclosure_marshal_generic().
In gobject/, add gmarshal.[ch] to git (making the existing entry
points stubs).
In gio/, simply switch to using g_cclosure_marshal_generic().
