Since Windows 10 1607, we can make use of SetThreadDescription() API
for setting thread name. Unlike previously used exception based
method, this API will preserve configured thread name on dump file.
The content of the section was more appropriate to the `NEWS` file, and
no longer helpful for anyone reading the `README`. The `README` is meant
to be a quick introduction to the project and how to contribute to it,
not a set of notes for packagers and distributors. That’s what `NEWS`
is.

This makes it a little easier to link to in the generated documentation,
and separates it from the section above.

The explanation of this bug has been mentioned in !1823, basically
it fixes some possible integer overflow when message buffer size
is more than G_MAXSSIZE.

and so checkout only the HEAD of the branch.
This leads to not being able to find an ancestor since there is only one
new commit. I presume that when it worked, it was because of specific
settings of some users.
Now we fetch (with the same depth as the target branch) the source branch
and use it to compare sha1 and find the common ancestor.

This change was previously implemented in
9ba17d511e but got dropped during the
Python conversion of the Perl script.
See the commit message of this commit as well as
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=782162
for more information.
This patch also adds a new test so we don't loose this feature again.
