  - Python <= 2.7.7: struct.pack arguments cannot be unicode

  - Adds backward compatibility layer for the 1.4 API.
  - Fixes kombu 3.0/celery 3.1 compatibility (Issue #88).
  - Fixed compatibility with Python 2.7.3 (Issue #85)
