- Updated to version 8.2.1900, fixes the following problems * Vim9: error message is not clear about compilation error. * Vim9: test for compilation error fails in normal build. * Crash when USE_FNAME_CASE is defined and using :browse. * Netbeans: with huge buffer number memory allocation may fail. * Using "q" at the more prompt doesn't stop a long message. * Vim9: function defined in a block can't use variables defined in that block. * Vim9: variables declared in a local block are not found in when a function is compiled. * Vim9: using negative value for unsigned type. * Crash when passing a NULL string or list to popup_settext(). * Vim9: garbage collection frees block-local variables. * "vat" does not select tags correctly over line break. * Vim9: "!" followed by space incorrectly used. * map() returing zero for NULL list is unexpected. * "to_f" is recognized at "topleft" modifier. * Vim9: crash when throwing exception for NULL string. To select the style of XIM Input the following command line arguments, which are handled by GTK internally, are available: --xim-preedit [none|nothing|area|position|callbacks] --xim-status [none|nothing|area|callbacks] To use OnTheSpot input style, start gvim like ~$ gvim [--xim-preedit callbacks] [--xim-status callbacks] This is also the default, which you will get without any command line arguments. To use OverTheSpot input style, start gvim like ~$ gvim --xim-preedit position [--xim-status callbacks] OnTheSpot input is still buggy and does not yet work right for Japanese, therefore it is recommended to use OverTheSpot input style for Japanese.
