- Updated to revision 479, fixes the following problems * resolve() was not tested with a symlink cycle. * Checking for empty quickfix stack is not consistent. * Running test hangs when the input file is being edited. * Win32 console: key mappings don't work. * Ml_get error and crash when using "do". * Test_executable fails when there is a dog in the system. * assert_fails() does not take a message argument * Quickfix code uses too many /* */ comments. * When using ConPTY Vim can be a child process. * "simalt ~x" in .vimrc blocks swap file prompt. * Client-server test fails. * Autocmd test fails. * Too often indexing in qf_lists[]. * Pointer ownership around fname_expand() is unclear. * Some tests are flaky or fail on some systems. * Dosinst command has a few flaws. * User doesn't notice file does not exist when swap file does. * Directory where if_perl.c is written is inconsistent. * Memory not freed on exit when quit in autocmd. * Memory leaks in test_escaped_glob. * Tiny build fails. * Failure when setting 'varsofttabstop' to end in a comma. To select the style of XIM Input the following command line arguments, which are handled by GTK internally, are available: --xim-preedit [none|nothing|area|position|callbacks] --xim-status [none|nothing|area|callbacks] To use OnTheSpot input style, start gvim like ~$ gvim [--xim-preedit callbacks] [--xim-status callbacks] This is also the default, which you will get without any command line arguments. To use OverTheSpot input style, start gvim like ~$ gvim --xim-preedit position [--xim-status callbacks] OnTheSpot input is still buggy and does not yet work right for Japanese, therefore it is recommended to use OverTheSpot input style for Japanese. (For Korean, OnTheSpot input style works well). Fri Jan 26 17:57:39 2001 Mike Fabian <mfabian@suse.de>
