* Fixup test failure with perl-5.8.8 and older; qr/$/m doesn't work
* Make format_request() ensure that it returns bytes [RT#42396]

* Refactor; use variable to hold the test port
* Add redirects method to HTTP::Message
* Setting $ua->max_redirect(0) didn't work [RT#40260]
