- bpo-41288: Unpickling invalid NEWOBJ_EX opcode with the C implementation raises now UnpicklingError instead of crashing.
- bpo-39017: Avoid infinite loop when reading specially crafted TAR files using the tarfile module (CVE-2019-20907).
- bpo-37703: Updated Documentation to comprehensively elaborate on the behaviour of gather.cancel()

fixing bpo-35746.
An exploitable denial-of-service vulnerability exists in the
X509 certificate parser of Python.org Python 2.7.11 / 3.7.2.
A specially crafted X509 certificate can cause a NULL pointer
dereference, resulting in a denial of service. An attacker can
initiate or accept TLS connections using crafted certificates
to trigger this vulnerability.
