From 55aceb5b2167a94a65e03da12676d5c8318d1625 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Alexander Graf Date: Fri, 6 Jan 2012 01:05:55 +0100 Subject: [PATCH] PPC: KVM: Disable mmu notifier check When using hugetlbfs (which is required for HV mode KVM on 970), we check for MMU notifiers that on 970 can not be implemented properly. So disable the check for mmu notifiers on PowerPC guests, making KVM guests work there, even if possibly racy in some odd circumstances. --- exec.c | 2 ++ 1 file changed, 2 insertions(+) diff --git a/exec.c b/exec.c index 02b1efebb7..3caa8c1eed 100644 --- a/exec.c +++ b/exec.c @@ -2052,11 +2052,13 @@ RAMBlock *qemu_ram_alloc_from_fd(ram_addr_t size, MemoryRegion *mr, return NULL; } +#ifndef TARGET_PPC if (kvm_enabled() && !kvm_has_sync_mmu()) { error_setg(errp, "host lacks kvm mmu notifiers, -mem-path unsupported"); return NULL; } +#endif if (phys_mem_alloc != qemu_anon_ram_alloc) { /*
