Can we change that to be merged in 3.3 branch rather than main. So we can create the 3.4.0 RM on Main branch

Sure, I was thinking we'd merge then backport but I see you're ready to start work on the 3.4 RM so I can propose this to 3.3 directly

I wanted to get a 3.4 RM for Kris to allow him to test upgrades. But he set it up locally so if you want we can merge this, backport and then I will update my PR as well just tagging the new release
