In this PR we're adding support for SL Micro 6.2 in our
kiwi-builderimplementation:/etcviaread-only-root-fs(no longer overlayfs)aarch64builds with baked in versionsThis has been tested on
aarch64withBase,Base-RT,Default,Default-SelfInstall, andRaspberryPi, but it would be great to fully validate onx86_64.Note that there's two bugs outstanding that will need to be resolved before we GA this:1. There's an issue withread-only-root-fswhen managing/etcin the container when the underlying filesystem isbtrfs. I'll raise this in parallel.2. I tried bumping Kiwi to10.2.29but I had a lot of SELinux issues, despite having it in permissive. Leaving it at10.2.12works for now.LGTM, about kiwi upgrade, is there a task somewhere to look more closely into this ? I don't think we want to keep lagging too far behind on kiwi versions
Thanks @nbelouin. I agree with you, let me see if I can run some more tests and see if I can get some assistance from the Kiwi team.
@nbelouin Thanks to Dirk, we figured out how to get 10.2.29 working (latest version of Kiwi) so we should be good to go with this now. Also tested on x86_64.
