Allowing us to speed up cross builds and workaround limitations in qemu-linux-user (eg. btrfs ioctl's). Otherwise we are unable to do any cross builds of our official images at all atm.

We've discussed this in a few places/forums, and it was decided the wrappers were not the solution, so closing this.
