ds4-battery-monitor is a lightweight system tray utility for monitoring the battery level of DualShock 4 controllers on Linux. The application supports multiple controllers simultaneously, automatically assigns player identifiers (P1, P2, etc.), and integrates with native Linux controller battery reporting through /sys/class/power_supply. It also supports UDP-based updates from custom ds4drv integrations. The package uses GTK3 and AyatanaAppIndicator for modern desktop integration and provides low resource usage while continuously monitoring controller battery status. This package fills a gap for PlayStation controller users on Linux desktop environments, especially for gaming-focused distributions and systems where controller battery visibility is not provided natively.
