- update to version 26.2.16:
* Drop support for Python 3.8 and 3.9 (minimum version is
now 3.10).
* Add support for Python 3.13 and 3.14.
* Update ISO databases (iso-codes) with numerous
additions and corrections:
- ISO 15924: Added many new scripts (e.g., Garay,
Gurung Khema, Sunuwar, etc.) and updated names.
- ISO 3166-2: Updated parent codes for Azerbaijan
subdivisions.
* Migrate project metadata to PEP 621 [project] table in
pyproject.toml.
* Update license identifier to SPDX LGPL-2.1-only.
* Move repository and project URLs to the pycountry
GitHub organization.
* Add detailed COPYRIGHT.txt including full contributor
list and data source information.
* Refresh documentation and examples in README.rst,
including updated subdivision types and attribute
behavior.
