Delete Branch "mchiappero:upstream-file-sync"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
In order to update the repo to the latest content upstream, restore the original repository structure and leverage similar common steps in the Dockerfile.
Does this actually work in OBS? When I last rebased I needed to stick with the flat-files because OBS couldn't handle the subdirectories, but I'm perhaps not recalling the details - @nbelouin any thoughts?
We use directories for helm charts successfully, so I think we may be able to use the same approach here, the OBS build will tell us if it doesn't work anyway
That's (mainly) why it's WIP.
Another option could be to package the scripts as an RPM which we then install via the Dockerfile, that would also make it easier if we want to carry patches e.g a spec file with some list of patches we apply to an unmodified upstream tarball

@mchiappero not had time to review this yet, did you mean to close it?
I meant to merge it, but I'm going to push a set of new PR with proper ordering soon. Please approve the new PR once open as permissions are a problem but the directory structure is not. Thank you!
